There is a recently created Twitter account known as @D3anonymous who claims to have attended Blizzard’s Diablo 3 media event. While there was, in fact, an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) set in place about all information gained there, and nobody was supposed to discuss anything about it until August 1st, he seems to have ignored their wishes and gone ahead with giving out all the information he claimed to have gathered at the press release.

Keep in mind that because the NDA is up and no other people who attended the press release are allowed to give out any information about it, there is no way to confirm whether what @D3anonymous is saying is true. But most of it sounds pretty convincing, and other sites have already listed much of what he had to say, so we decided to join them. Worst case scenario it ends up not being true and we’ll all figure out what was and wasn’t the case within the week, once August 1st comes about.

Here’s some of the things he had to say:

1) “Battle.net system is operational with AMM, automatically matches players by their level and quest progression”

2) “trading system integrated with battle.net interface, Auction house for consumables and trading market for gear”

3) “no mailbox but shared stash also accessible on battle.net interface”

4) “custom games are smarter, there are visual identifiers that show how complete the quest/boss progression in that particular game”

5) “DH has some awesome new skills, strafe: DH kind-of jumps and does a spin with arrows spewing out from every direction very rapidly”

6) “trading system is attached to the battle.net interface, your stash is viewable in battle.net and you can list items on the market from there”

7) “respec system is based on sliding scale    gold cost. Doesn’t depreciate at this time, so the more you respec the more it will cost”

8 ) “Blizzard stated it took a huge amount of iteration and internal discussion for trading system. Ultimately the AH was not viable”

9) “monk can now use shields, has a new smite ability that stuns + knockbacks enemies in front of him to make shield more viable for monk”

10) “And the news everyone has been waiting for….. Beta on the 15th of August.”

11) “Town portals are in and you can use them when there are no nearby monsters.”

12) “You can click on players portraits in the battle.net interface and view what they have for sale, as well as full search funct. AH for mats.”

22) When asked if it was worth the wait: “haha its funny you mention that – everyone in the room was buzzing with how much fun the game is. Never seen so much enthusiasm”

24) “guilds/clans not supported yet but plans after release”

32) When asked: “When you say shared stash, do you mean among your own characters, or between you and your friends/guildmates?” The response was: “Shared stash is only between your own characters.”

33) When asked: “how do you “buy” items from players? Is there a gold amount that’s requests, can you also offer to trade items for items?” The response was: “when you drag an item into the market area of the shared stash, it prompts you for an asking price. You can do offers only”

34) When asked: “what is the Demon Hunter resource system??” The response was: “DH resource is an orange liquid called focus. It regenerates rapidly when you take melee damage, otherwise regens like mana”

35) When asked: “What makes a trade game different from a normal game?” The response was: “Trade games are a different game world. Small town-looking place that looks like a market. There are much more players in there”

36) “One of the Monk tier 7 abilities, called Avatar of Azurewrath, 2 minute cooldown, Monk turns into a weapon of light and looks like a yellow-white light shadow figure that grants a MASSIVE attack speed and movement speed increase. Most awesome thing I’ve seen”

37) When asked: “More of a stupid little aesthetics question, but exactly what color are Legendary items?” The response was: “Legendaries are gold-orange. More orange.”

38) When asked: “How many items can be listed in the marker at once? How are the indexed? Prefix, suffix, rarity? All?” The response was: “The shaded “market” area of the stash looked about 4×8″

39) When asked: “so theres a limited amount of items you can put in the auction house??????” The response was: “I don’t think there is a limit for the Auction house. The market is limited by your market stash size, which is around 4×8.”

40) When asked: “How many skill charms can be placed in the current Talisman?” The response was: “There is no talisman anymore”

41) When asked: “Do they have any new Demon Hunter skills?” The response was: “I already mentioned Strafe. There were others, a melee orientated one that pushes enemies back, and some kind of fire trap”

42) When asked: “how do you “buy” items from players? Is there a gold amount that’s requests, can you also offer to trade items for items?” The response was: “Gold. Otherwise you could just message them I guess.”

43) When asked: “Why don’t u do a ckeckin and show us you are at Blizzard?” The response was: “I’m not there anymore. Cellphones were not allowed inside, it was rather funny they had electromagnetic sweepers.”

44) When asked: “can you give us any shred of proof that what you are saying is legit? What that is I dunno, I believe u but a lot of naysayers.” The response was: “Who cares if people don’t believe this is true game information? They are the ones who will be missing out.. until August 1st.” Fair enough, D3anonymous.

45) When asked: “Was it the actual BETA you guys get to play, or just another special demo build?” The response was: “At the beginning it was a bunch of videos and some presentations about Battle.net. When we got to playing, it was the Beta build”

46) When asked: “on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest how much fun was it?” The response was: “9.9/10″

47) When asked: “Any Artisans or Followers in the BETA build?” The response was: “both followers and artisans”

48) When asked: “Did the game feel difficult enough, or do you think it was, in general, easy? If so, do u think it’s that way because its beta?” The response was: “I could’ve faceplanted on the keyboard and still killed everything in act 1. It was very easy, but then again some other press noobs were dying which I found hilarious.”

49) “couldn’t get over how atmospheric battle.net is, music is really good. Creeeeeeepy”

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, what many are considering to be the only plausible leak of information from Blizzard’s July 27th press conference so far. As the information is either confirmed or proved wrong, another post will be made highlighting what was or was not correct about what @D3anonymous had to say. He has been very convincing so far. While I do disagree with the fact that he went against the Non Disclosure Agreement (should this information prove true), I know that all of you are trying to find this information, so I thought I’d provide it for you.
